Update

I am seriously behind, and short on time, so here goes:

When Max got blessed, Craig's Dad, Step-mom, Step-Brother, and Half Sister came down. We had a lot of fun while they were here, here are pics of some of the good times. That is Clearwater Beach...

The guys at the Renaissance Fair (Craig won that necklace for his strength!)...

And a group shot the day they left:

For Easter we went to the in-laws for a yummy dinner (at lunchtime), showed off our artistry skills on boiled eggs, and hunted for golden eggs. Well, 3 of the 60 that were hidden were "Gold" ones, and Craig found the one that hatched out $100! Besides the golden egg, Craig and I were pretty lousy at the hunt. Everyone else kicked our trash.

I mentioned to Craig that instead of buying each other presents for the gift giving holidays, we should 'do something' instead of give gifts. I suggested this mostly because Craig is so difficult to shop for...but it has been turning out to be a good idea so far. So for my big 25th, we drove up to North Carolina with Max and stayed in the cabin his family owns. It was a great to get away, however, we realized that Max really can cramp our vacationing style! N.C. is a very outdoorsy kind of place, and you just cant hike with a baby very well. Or go out and shoot guns. Or kayak. So we did a lot of shopping instead. Thrift store shopping that is. Craig added to his collection of polyester grandpa ties that he loves so dearly. Max got some great deals too!

Every road you take is the 'scenic' route!

On the way up we stopped in Pilatka for a night, and visited Craig's Aunt Waunette and Uncle Lyrece. We've GOT to go back to that place and fish sometime.

This is their back porch and backyard...beautiful!

2 Month Well Baby Visit

The numbers are in!
2 months old
23 inches (50th percentile)
12 lbs 7 ounces (75th percentile)
and his head circumference was something like 14 and some odd centimeters (90th percentile). Big head! He also got 2 vaccinations today, one of which was a shot into his little baby thigh. He was already fussy because he was getting hungry...and he was nearly naked which he isn't fond of either...they stuck him, and he got startled, then a second later let out a little squeal. That's it. Well, then I shoved a bottle in his mouth, and he seemed to forget the whole experience. Still, he's a tough little guy. Even when they had to repeatedly stick his heel in the hospital he never even flinched! It must have been a little traumatizing because he fitfully slept most of the day and when he WAS awake, he insisted on being held. I didn't get much done today...lots of Max and Mommy time! And we get to do it again next month!

I HEART SLEEP!

Guess who slept from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am? Yes, Max!! I slept from about 12:30 am-7:30...and it was magnificent! Then he woke up and has been wanting to eat absurd amounts every 2 hours. Growth spurt? We're going to his 2 month appointment tomorrow, so we'll see just how big he is now. Whoa, gotta go...Max is hungry. Again!
